Subzone Highlights!

Fun outings and activities!

Hi Guys!!

I'll be updating all of you on all the happenings and fun activities that we have done and will be doing. This year our subzone leader "Wendee "The Great" has many great plans installed for us. Let's get ourselves excited for many more fun-filled events to come.

YOUTH MEETING
Firstly, we had our very first Youth meeting which was held in CHEC! Our youths were taught how to manage their time and to juggle with their studies. It is very important for all our youths to learn while still young to make sure that they serve God whole-heartedly and also excel in their studies. All of them learnt that we have to plan to our time and make sure every hour counts. Each student was given an evaluation on the areas of their lives they are mostly focusing on, whether on Gaming, TV , Sports , Ministry , and Studies. When they have done that , they can see and reflect on certain ares that they might have gone overboard. This made them realise their mistakes and slowly they can act on it and change their lifestyle. As Pastor say, " If you fail to plan, you plan to fail ". Its was a great time that all our members are able to leave this meeting a transformed student.

MAN'S MEETING
Secondly, we had our first Man's meeting . Although it may sound formal, but don't be deceive by the name. It is purely fellowship between the guys of our subzone. We know that besides going to cell group , it is very hard to meet up with other members from the same subzone. So through this outing/fellowship/meeting, we can have a better bond with each other and get to know one another and build strong relationships. So for the first time, we went to a mamak stall loacated in Kelana Jaya. Although it is the mamak, there is a secret shop waiting behind the stall. There is a malay stall hiding behind ,which sells TOM YAM that is very delicious. Although it may sound confusing , It actually means that there are two stalls in one shop(however, you can't see the other malay stall).We had a great time talking to one another and it was a great start of a beautiful friendship.(haha).

WORSHIP WORKSHOP
This is also our first time having a workshop workshop, It's was leaded by Andrew. As you all know, he is a worship leader, so he will be teaching us a few tricks up his sleeve. First things first, the reason behind this workshop is to train members who are intersted in leading praise and worhsip. Not only that, core members who are already leading praise and worship in cell group can upgrade themselves and learn more through this lesson. This workshop teach us many minor minor details that we might sometimes neglect or ignore. It also reminds us to look into details (Details Determine Destiny!) However the main thing that in praise and worship is that we must always lean on God and usher in the presence of God with us. That is always the main reason we sing praise and worship in cell group or church. It is the key ingredient in a power pack praise and worship. Besides that , a few members were chosen to lead a "Mock" praise and worship and input what we have learnt through this workshop. Then, it was the members turn to comment on what are the points that the worship leaders are lacking.Both the members and the worship leaders got to learn alot through this practical session. Lastly, there was some Q&A session. Overall, it is a great time that we can come and all learn together. Don't miss out on more events to come!

MAN'S MEETING
Man's meeting is back! This time, the guys took more initiative to go somewhere further. Woon Shen volunteered to be a great host for the day and brought us to KLANG!(Woon Shen's hometown). When the town KLANG is heard , we all think of??? BAK KUT TEH. Woon Shen brought us to this great shop full of the smell of bak kut teh. Just heavenly.Everyone was hungry and anticipating for the food to arrive. Everyone was helping themselves with the food and was not shy at all( because all guys, don't need jaga muka). The meat was just tender and succulent. There is both the soup version and the Dry one. The Dry Bak Kut Teh is mixed with thick soya sauce and other secret ingredients which makes it so tasty. the champion eater weighing at 250lb with a height of 6 ft 5 in is none other than our very own IAN!! (The number of bowl of rice will be not be disclose, for further info please call him ) However!!! we din't just stop there , we wanted to eat MORE , and Woon Shen brought us to eat fried lala (lala= shell fish) , but sadly to say , it was closed when we reached there. So, Plan B was brought into action and we all headed to Jusco Bukit Tinggi (largest in Malaysia and some say South East Asia). We took a walk and took many silly photos together. It was a great time that we had all spent together. Many of us manage to make new friends and were happy with our stomachs filled. This will not be the last "Man's meeting" so get ready for more action!
